Across The Ocean

Brutally Honest Feedback, Artist Coaching and More!

Meet Rachel & Daniel
The founders of Across The Ocean

Here’s the thing.

We’ve been where you are. Staring at a half-finished song on a Tuesday night, wondering if it’s genius or garbage. Trying to write a bio that doesn’t sound like a dating profile. Uploading a track and refreshing Spotify for Artists like it owes us rent.

We’re Rachel & Daniel, two mildly unhinged but deeply committed members of the worldwide music community. Between us, we've reviewed, played, cried over, championed, and occasionally dramatically overanalysed more music than we can count.

And we’re here to help you.

Across The Ocean is our ongoing love letter to the indie artists, the bedroom producers, the folk kids with feelings, the genre-bending chaos goblins and the quiet creators wondering if anyone’s really listening.

We offer feedback, coaching, and reviews that are honest(always), useful(mostly), and infused with the exact energy of someone cheering you on from the front row with a handmade sign and three caramel lattes.

Whether you’re polishing a demo, launching a single, or just stuck in the creative swamp shouting into the void, we’re across the ocean from each other, but always on your side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based?

We’re a cross-continental duo!

Rachel is based in the East Midlands, UK — fuelled by Yorkshire tea and unsigned anthems.

Daniel is based in Madisonville, Louisiana — with a view of the bayou, a brain full of jazz chords and spiders.

What do you charge?

Simple and affordable:

  • £4 per review or feedback

  • £15 per hour for artist coaching with either of us

(We like to keep things accessible and artist-friendly — no weird fees, no industry gatekeeping.)

How do you charge?

All bookings go through our website.

Just choose the service you need — review, feedback, or coaching — and pay securely via Stripe (card or Google Pay). Easy.

What is your process?

Once your payment and request come through, you’ll get an email from us — either with a review form or a calendar link to book your coaching session.

You’ll always hear back from us within 10 working days.
And if for any reason we can’t complete your request? You’ll get a full refund. No fuss, no ghosting.

How can I contact you?

Questions, hellos, compliments about our metaphors?

Reach us at acrosstheoceanreviews@gmail.com or via the contact form on our website. We’re nice. We reply.

How do you work?

We work remotely from our own corners of the globe — but meet weekly to review submissions, swap playlists, and bring that classic chaos.

Our different scenes and soundscapes give us a broader perspective on the global music community — which we pour into every review and coaching session.
